Oh, Yes They Did! 10/20/08

So it was another fun filled night for the ladies of "Oh, Yes They Did!" At the top of the show we were extremely excited to announce that none other than side-breathing Gold medalist Melvin Stewart tuned into our show last week and read our blog. That's right kids, Gold Medal Mel listened to our show! Not only that - we got a wall post in our Facebook group! Needless to say the ladies of OYTD freaked out for a considerable amount of time because, come on, who doesn't love GMM?!

As the show progressed we, of course, talked about our boy Reezy and our lovely friends over at ONTD_Olympics. One of the ladies over at the LJ community was lucky enough to meet our favorite skittle-loving swimmer over the weekend and let me tell you, boy was looking FINE in that parking lot photoshoot. And needless to say, he acted exactly how we suspected (can you say fist-pump?) In related LJ news Candace got a little something off her chest and reminded all the Debbie Downers out there that they need to just stop drinking the haterade and let her comment in peace!

We also did a very special theatrical reading of Ryan Lochte's blog accompanied by the theme music of Masterpiece Theater - because if Reezy is considered anything, it's a literary genius.

In addition we discussed the fact that, thanks to the video below, we discovered that certain... behaviors must run in the Lochte family. In the video, parents of Speedo sponsored athletes are asked to describe their kids and based on those descriptions, we (the viewers) are supposed to guess who they are. Most of the parents give us basic descriptions: how many Olympics they've been to, what strokes they swim. Sure, Papa Lochte does all that but he goes above and beyond when describing his boy - he very excitedly reveals to us that Ryan LOVES candy. And Mountain Dew. Why am I not surprised....? BTW Papa Lochte comes on at around 1:30


We also talked about Golden Boy Michael Phelps. Now we love Michael Fred as much as the next... Michael Fred lover but we have a bone to pick with him. He has been slutting it up with all the other swimmers and his pageant "girlfriend." I think it's pretty clear to all of us with eyes that Ryan completes his OTP so he really needs to get it together or else Ryan is going to find someone else to share his Skittle with. Someone else whose name starts with lil and ends with Wayne.

On the topic of Phelps' pageant girlfriend - apparently when they attended the Bowlmor party in NYC she was very upset by the fact that people were taking pictures of her. The ladies of OYTD were unamused by miss Nicole's reaction. First of all, nobody is taking pictures of you so relax. Second of all, if either one of us were dating MP we would have a professional photographer and lighting crew there to document every makeout session we had with Aquaman to make everyone who was mean to us in High School jealous. It's ok to brag, Nicole. Your boyfriend's face is on boxes of crackers and cereal - live it up.

Now, we all know Reezy and Phelpsicle are great swimmers -yeah yeah great - but one of the reasons we love watching them swim is the fact that they wear tiny Speedos (we love Speedos yes we do. We love Speedos. How bout you?) Candace is quite partial to Reezy's child sized red Speedo that he used to rock back in the day. Valeria likes his multicolored Flipturn Speedo because it accentuates the goods. Now, being the skeptic she is, Candace felt that it accentuated his junk because of its gaudy print. They always tell fat people not to wear bold prints because it makes them look fatter so... prints on your..ahem... personal areas...could have the same effect don't you think? Phelpsicle apparently wants to reproduce someday because his aren't near as tight as Reezy's but with those thighs... we're not complaining.

In general, we think the boys need some fashion tips. With bodies like that there is no reason on god's green earth why they should be hiding their hotness under baggy clothes and ugly hoodies that should die in a fire (ya'll know which one I'm talking about!) We enjoy the tailored look on our lovely swimmer boys - clothes that hug them in all the right areas. Ryan, as Valeria so lovingly refers, is a barrel chest. And though that sounds like a negative comment - it's not. It simply means he's got a muscular delicious chest that should not be hidden away from our loving gazes! We're big fans of the suit he wore when he hung out with Jay Z. BALLIN!

Embarrassingly enough, Candace and Valeria admitted that they enjoyed the Jonas Brothers' new music video for their song Lovebug. It reminds us of when people actually cared about how their music videos looked and spent a legitimate amount of time making them. Plus.. that 16 year old is mighty cute. Whatever! It's not illegal if you don't touch! The song is very summery and sweet (not that we're into the Jonas brothers or anything....) Check out the video below:


Thanks to our poll, Michael Phelps finally tasted the bitterness of defeat. For the first time in the life he didn't come in first place. Second? Nope. He came in 3rd place. That's right 3rd place. Reezy reigned supreme as your favorite Olympic swimmer (shocking!!!) and Phlochte came in second. That's right, Michael! How does it feel? How does it feel to win 8 gold medals, prove yourself as the best athlete in the world, have millions of adoring fans all over the globe and then lose in a poll voted on by a whopping 52 people on a blog run by 2 college students? STINGS DON'T IT?! We'll see how long those endorsement deals last now, Mikey! Eat all the Frosted Flakes you can now cause Tony the Tiger doesn't think you're so Grrrreat anymore!

In other news, lil Wayne is having a baby.

Obviously lil Wayne has not been affected by the current Economic situation
