Michael Phelps (or as I like to call him, Phelpsicle) was by far the biggest hit at the Olympics but there is another swimmer who I have grown quite fond of in the past few weeks - Ryan Lochte.
To be honest I was so distracted by my obsession with Phelps' thighs, ungodly long torso and the near 5,000 NBC produced profiles on Phelps that were shown about every 5 minutes that I hadn't noticed Lochte during the Olympics (though I did remember him winning a gold in the 200m backstroke - so y'all know he's fierce.) I did, however, discover him shortly after the games thanks to the wonderful people over at ONTD_Olympics, the sheer genius that exists within the video below and the man who created it: Gold Medal Mel.
Gold Medal Mel, or Melvin Stewart, is a Gold Medalist from the 92 Olympics in Barcelona and is chock full of swimming knowledge and updates about what's going in swimming world. He made an amazing video in honor Mr. Lochte. GMM explains Lochte's appeal and, in the process, persuades non-believers to join the cult of the Lochtenator. It's just about one of my favorite things in the world.
It is with great pleasure that I present to you Lochte Love
