Oh, Yes They Did! 11/12/08

Hey babies! Thanks to everyone who listened in tonight to "Oh, Yes They Did!" Here are the songs we played in case you missed it:

1. Renegade - Styx (in honor of the Obamas badass Secret Service Names)
2. Hold On - Razorlight
3. Valerie - Mark Ronson featuring Amy Winehouse
4. Lady Madonna - The Beatles
5. Under Pressure - Queen featuring David Bowie (or the other way around depending on how you look at it)

Another wonderful Wednesday! We started off the show with some more Obama talk. This time we talked a little more about Obama's pick for Chief of Staff, Rahm Emanuel. This dude has already become an internet sensation. For any of you who were familiar with BarackObamaIsYourNewBicycle.com then you know how these things can take on a life of their own. That site made light of the fact that everyone thought Barack Obama was just so damn nice! It just constantly reloaded with text telling you nice things Barack had done for you. This new site made in Rahm's honor, however, is a little different. RahmFacts.com is a site dedicated to Mr. Emanuel's badassery and sheer lunacy. I can't be too sure on the legitimacy of some of the facts but the scary thing is that some of the most insane things on here are actually true. For instance "Rahm Emanuel hates Arby's" because he cut off half of his middle finger with an Arby's meet slicer as a teenager and he did supposedly "declare his enemies 'dead' while repeatedly stabbing a steak knife into a table.'" Whether or not Rahm Emanuel "jumped on a table and said that the Republican Party 'can go fuck themselves'" we really can't be too sure.

Swimming news! Oh how we love swimming news. Apparently some punk named Peter Marshall broke Reezy's world record in the 100 back. This is very disturbing news to me - so I'm making a new rule. The rule is that people who I don't care about are not allowed to break world records - especially if that record was previously held by someone I (and my ovaries) do care about. With that said, I declare the record currently held by Peter whatever-his-name-is null in void and Reezy once again reigns supreme. In more recent news, the lovely Ryan Lochte will be competing in a truckload of events this weekend in Minnesota. Now some lovely listener IMed us during the show and proceeded to try and school Candace on the previously mentioned swimming news - already knew it. I got spies all over this piece. I had that PDF schedule downloaded, searched for all events featuring "Lochte, Ryan S." and had those puppies written down in my notebook. I wouldn't let you kids down! You know I'm up on Reezy Daily on the daily. But in all seriousness, we really appreciate it when you guys keep us updated on things you want us to talk about and/or things we might not know about (even if we already do) because some of you Lochte-lovers out there are far more knowledgeable than I - and seem to have far more comprehensive Google alerts. So keep it coming! Anyway, he's gonna be swimming out there in the heartland so... you know what that means! NEW PICTURES! And maybe some world records and accolades and things that are far less important to the female brain. Y'all know we have been in dire need of some new Reezy pictures as of late. Well... let me clarify. We have been in dire need of some speedo-clad Reezy pictures as of late. Lord knows this boy cannot dress his way out of a paper bag. I like my Reezy in a speedo - preferably soaking wet. If you're wet you can't wear gel in your hair. Someone put this man in contact with Nick Jonas' hairdresser. That boy has curls that defy physics - with no visible trace of gel! His curls are voluminous, defined and there's no frizz! It's unreal.

While we're on the topic of styling Reezy, why isn't Cullen Jones lending a hand? Valeria and I were facebook.... not stalking but more... strolling along and stumbled upon some newly tagged pictures of our boy - and he was looking fine as HALE. He was looking as swaggerific as ever - very sharp. Black shirt, jeans and rockin' one of those Afghan scarves. Now, a man that can pull off a scarf is A+ in my book. He looked so good it was enough to prompt us to actually play "Dreamweaver" as opposed to singing it off key into the mike - so you know it was good. This boy knows how to dress and he really needs to share the wealth cause his boy Reezy is seriously suffering. I think I saw Ryan wearing a shirt that had some rhinestones/jewels/some sort of ornate decoration on it. I would think a boy as fashion forward as Cullen would have enough sense to tell his friend that bedazzling your clothes isn't cool anymore and it's still questionable as to whether it ever was. Come on Cullen! You might be his only hope.

Where in the world is Michael Phelps? Is it just me or has he fallen off the face of the earth? We suspect he's getting crunk and hanging out with lots of (questionably hot) chicks. But even so, he's so famous at this point if he disappears we fear the earth might implode. Either the earth or our ovaries... we're not sure. I mean we've been getting little doses here and there seeing him dance in his speedo in that "Guitar Hero" commercial but that's not enough! I was emotionally invested in your Olympic journey, Michael! I cried when you won your 8th Gold Medal! Cried. Real human tears. You can't just leave me like this! You just better watch yourself, Mister, because when I take my love away it stings. Stings, I tell you! Be worried, sir. 8 gold medals cannot equal up to the glory of love of one Silva.

I think we figured out why Ryan Lochte loves lil Wayne so much. He doesn't make any kind of sense when he talks! Maybe it's a confidence booster. Like when you hang out with little kids - you just feel like the smartest person on earth. I mean we all know that Ryan says some silly things now and again but at least we can understand the man. On tonight's show we wanted to demonstrate just how insane lil Wayne is and played the beginning of his first video blog in which he thanks his fans for buying his album. He ends up going off on a tangent about school book drives... just watch.

What I think he's trying to do is equate the book drive to illegal downloads. Basically, he's thanking the people who bought the album rather than getting it illegally. Text books = his album, illegal downloads = book drive books that you can't take home to use for your homework.

We also did another reading from his blog (featured on ESPN.com) to the sounds of Mark Mothersbaugh. I just can't get enough of this guy. He sounds so enthusiastic when he writes about sports. Even though we made fun of Weezy for his very interesting choice of words, apparently this guy is pretty damn smart! One of our listeners informed us that he's studying psychology and political science. Seems like that'd require a pretty heavy course load. Whether not he's actually a good student... that's another story. Let's hope he doesn't write his blogs in class like Reezy does.

Guess what we're doing this weekend! Going to NY! Guess what's going on in NY (well, lots of things I'm sure but guess something that is related to things we always talk about) Gold Medal Mel's Birthday Party, that's what! Guess whose going to Gold Medal Mel's birthday party. WE ARE! It's 21+ and oh snap... we're both 21 so you know we're gonna have a good time. We're super super psyched to meet GMM because um... he's Gold Medal Mel and he's awesome and hilarious. P to the S the place where he's having the party is swanky. This party is legit you guys. I would call this a "soiree" because when I think of a "party" I think of annoying college kids and lots of red disposable cups. There definitely won't be any red disposable cups here. This is like a gateway into the New York I've always heard about but was never allowed into cause I'm not fancy at all and don't have the patience to do my hair. I'll make an exception for this party.

Happy Birthday, Mel!

We're also planning on stalking Mark Ronson and not having a restraining order put out against us so that should be fun (and challenging.) I'm from NYC so I'm super excited to go home for the weekend and taking my lovely lady Valeria around town. We'll be reporting back with details on all of our wonderful NY adventures. Be sure to check out blipBack in the coming days because we'll be recording some videos to keep you updated on what's going on.

Oh, Yes They Did! 11/10/08

Thanks to everyone who listened in tonight to "Oh, Yes They Did!" Here is the playlist in case you missed it:

1. It's a New Day - will.i.am (for our man Barack!)
2. Michelle - The Beatles (for our next first Lady, Michelle Obama)
3. Rubber Band Man - TI (request from Bonnie)
4. Spaceman - The Killers (WECB Premier... I think)
5. Changes - David Bowie

Just to start off, sorry we were yelling at everyone for not IMing us anymore. Apparently our AIM at the station is effed up! We were sent some IMs but we couldn't see them - LAME! We love you guys and we'll try and get that fixed because we love talking to you during the show.

So of course, we're still on a crazy Obama high. Seriously y'all I needs me some Barack Obama in pill form cause I am feelin' good! As you all know I am completely obsessed with his family. I think they are just gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous. Michelle? Fierce. Malia? Beautiful. And Sasha? Oh please, that girl is all kinds of amazing. Apparently her life's ambition is to sing and dance. Of course it is! She's the youngest and you know how we love the spotlight. I feel like my sister and I are exactly like Malia and Sasha. My sister is really pretty and elegant and I was the chubby faced loud one who may have used my cuteness to my advantage once in a while during those early years. A showman of sorts you might say. Even the journalists love her! Her gavel banging during Michelle's DNC stage tour delighted a journalist on CSpan. Delighted him! Valeria and I are also very impressed with Barack's choice for Chief of Staff. Rahm Emmanuel is effing crazy! In the best way possible. Some of the stories out there about him consist of things that usually only occur before the men in the white coats come and take people away. Supposedly he sent dead fish in the mail to his political foes. That's some crazy Godfather type shiz right there. And there was some other story involving a steak knife and stabbing a table. I don't know man, all I know is that when you're that passionate (and crazy) you get stuff done! We're not so pleased, however, with all the news station talking about the Secret Service and the security team following the Obamas. Um guys... it's called the Secret Service for a reason! Don't be telling people about that mess. I don't want to know about him being surrounded by bullet proof glass on 3 sides because then someone is going to be like "hey... I know the one side that isn't bullet proof!" Idiots. Keep that man safe, please! The one cool thing about these secrets being revealed are the Secret Service names used for the Obamas. Barack is Renegade (yeah!), Michelle is Renaissance (hell yeah!), Malia is Radiance (aw, yeah) and Sasha is Rosebud (OMG yeah!) Those are some badass names.

So getting away from our political crushes and onto our Olympic ones - we did another reading from Ryan Lochte's blog to the theme music of Masterpiece Theater. I'm not even going to lie about it- this one had so many spelling and grammatical errors that it was practically unreadable. It doesn't really matter though because we don't really love him for his brains, do we, girls? One of the great things about this particular blog entry was at the end Ryan ended it with "well class is over... i got to run." Maybe writing blog entries during class isn't the best way to make the most of that college education. Oh well.

We also played a short clip from an interview with Ryan that was posted on ONTD_Olympics earlier today. He was doing a swim clinic and basically tells the interviewer that he understands how kids feel when they see him because he used to look up to people too. So pretty much, he tells the interview that knows he's awesome. He is aware that, he is and always has been, the almighty Ryan Lochte that we have come to know. In other words, he declared himself the King of Jeahmaica before there was a Jeahmaica. Sounds kind of cocky but on the other hand... I just don't think he really knew how to answer that question... In other news, this video makes us want to have his swimmer babies.

Speaking of answering questions, Phelps got pretty good at answering (technically not answering) tough questions. When he was on The View Whoopi asked him about learning Chinese with Rossetta Stone. Now lord knows this boy did not learn a lick of Chinese past Lo Mein and Moo Shu Chicken. But who can blame him? If you spent 5 hours a day swimming would you want to sit in front of a computer screen wearing a little head set learning Chinese? If you just said yes, you need to turn off this computer and leave your house immediately. Give up those 40 cats and just leave your house now! No! That's not what he wants to do. So obviously he didn't learn himself any damn Chinese - but he's getting paid to kind of say he did. So, obviously this presents a problem. Anyway, he did a pretty good job of side stepping the question. It wasn't perfect but he still gave the product props for what it does and never actually admitted that he knows just about as much Chinese as one of those "Learn Chinese" fortunes inside a fortune cookie. This is why people want him! Good job, Mikey. Plus your commercial is pretty cute, too.

So, as you know, the ladies of OYTD love them some celebrities. In particular, they love them some Mark Ronson. Now what you may not know is that Mark Ronson has a radio show in NY that he does from time to time. He used to do it weekly but since he's such a work traveler you never know when he'll be there. Since discovering his show Candace and Valeria have made several plans to stalk (and we mean that in the least frightening way possible) this beautiful British man. We never have... but now we're starting to develop a kind of relationship. Which is why we are glad to bring to you "Our Developing Relationship with Mark Ronson." Now, a couple of weeks ago Candace IMed into his show and asked for a shoutout for herself and her cohort Valeria (Listen below)

Hearing Mark say our names was enough to make our brains explode and at least one uterus cry. But the plot thickens! This week on the show he was having a Barack Obama celebration show. He gave out the "number" for the station but left out the last digit for the listeners to figure out. Being the computer savvy lady that I am, I found that shiz in about 30 seconds. Only problem was that we didn't know what to say because um... it's Mark Ronson. We came up with a little script and called in. Apparently Mark was too busy trying to be Spinderella to talk to us on air but got on the phone and asked if he could call us back (even though he didn't have our number.) He quickly corrected himself and asked us to call back. Now at this point Valeria's ovaries had officially exploded, rendering her a practically mute - which meant that I had to make the second phone call even though I was nervous as hale. Basically - EPIC PHONE CALL.

UPDATE: OMGs y'all we beat the system! Blogger can't hold us down. Listen to our call!

In other news Valeria is currently losing her mind because her other British lover, Ed Westwick is now doing ads for KSwiss. Even though that brand completely sucks (as does his band) he is looking fine as HALE in the ads. And now she wants to buy the crappy shoes. Can't blame the girl. That's some good advertising. Unfortunately his HORRENDOUS band will also be featured in the campaign. Good lord they are awful. But if you're into self mutilation or just plain crappy music, you can listen to them on their myspace. They're called The Filthy Youth.
Supposedly Mark Ronson was offered this campaign but said no. Not really sure why. Maybe sneakers aren't his thing now that he isn't ghetto fab anymore. He did a Gap ad a little while ago and it was hotness. I guess how he's too busy answering phone calls from crazy fangirls to model. Not that we have a problem with that.

Valeria mentioned that Ed had a considerable bulge in some of these pictures so I'd like to take the time to introduce you all to a wonderful term that you all should incorporate into your vocabulary - bdubs. Pronounced bee-dubbs, the phrase refers to a noticeable bulge - either in person or in a picture. The phrase originates from a time (2 years ago) when Candace took leisure in collecting pictures where Ronnie Vannucci (drummer for the killers) had a visible bulge in order to prove to delusional Brandon Flowers fans that he was, indeed, the manlier man. Bdubs is short for "Bulge Watch" which was then shortened to BW and eventually became the grand "Bdubs." If you're good at noticing bulges and enjoy the pastime you can join the facebook group "Bulge Watch: World Wide" Hey, it's not weird! If it's there it's there. We just happen to notice.

And now to the good stuff:

Another great night with the ladies of OYTD. Candace revealed that Jeahmaica's population has recently increased. That's right, Candace's roommate is now a proud resident of the sunny island. This girl, who shall remain nameless - we'll call her "K Force 1" - has always expressed a fondness for the backstroker but she's never been the type to get into these celebrity crushes the girls of OYTD are so fond of - not that that never stopped Candace from sharing her obsessions with her. So the other night I was showing her this wonderful video where the Speedo athletes are unveiling the LZR and being interviewed by Mo Rocca (whose humor is obviously going over his pretty little head) After viewing the video I explain how the suits are a bit awkwardly designed because the lining seems to accentuates certain areas - now I'm sure this is done for athletic purposes but it's basically like putting a giant arrow saying "crotch this way." Anyway, in order to show her how the suit awkwardly frames the swimmers' bodies, I showed her a picture of Lochte from the back - she was very pleased with this image; saying over and over what a nice ass he had. I have to agree but I must say I was surprised by this reaction. Now I don't know at which point this occurred but I distinctly remember her telling me that "If I ever met Ryan Lochte, I would jump him." Can't say I blame the girl. Can you? Honestly I think if any of us had the upper body strength and guarantee of no federal charges, we'd do the same. Anyway, she later explained that she usually doesn't like men who are that muscular but he was an exception... or perhaps, exceptional. I know she likes Matthew Matthew McConaughey and if we've learned anything from Gold Medal Mel it's that Ryan Lochte is the Matthew McConaughey of swimming so it kind of makes sense. Anyway, I knew she really had it bad when I began watching yet another video of the Florida boy and just the mere sound of his voice prompted her to scoot to my side of the couch so she could share in the glory. So "K Force 1" I'd like to officially welcome you to Jeahmaica. Where the sun is always shining, and the boys are always... well... hot.

Guess who was in Massachusetts this weekend? Lochte! Guess who didn't see him? Me! That's right. Lochte and I were in the same state and did not cross paths. It's just something I've come to accept. To me, he is mystical creature who I shall never see in real life. Heather said he's my unicorn. Sigh... I suppose he is.Also, it seems like we've only found one picture of him from the event. EPIC FAIL MASSACHUSETTS. Is there only one photographer in the entire state?!

We can't believe the election is tomorrow. It seems like it's taken forever to get here and at the same time it seems crazy that it's so close! In honor of this historic election we played this great video clip of Mos Def telling us what he would do if he were lucky enough to be elected President. He's got some great ideas including eliminating the Electoral College, lowering taxes and making America cool again (for real!) Check out the video here:

Don't forget to vote tomorrow. It might be crowded so bring a book, a magazine or a boom box! Have a voting party!

Nick Jonas is NOT 16. Okay maybe he is but I simply refuse to believe it. Just look at this kid! When I was in High School I never knew anyone that looked this good. Candace's roommate thinks she may have problem because she has a crush on Nick Jonas and on a 17 year old Josh Brolin. In her defense, she only rented The Goonies because she thought Josh Brolin looked especially attractive when hosting SNL in October and wanted to see some of his past movies. Since she had never seen The Goonies it seemed like a good choice. Now, Candace must have been far past her prime Goonies age because this film fully creeped her out and was far less enjoyable than she had hoped. All she could think about was how Corey Feldman was far too mature for his age and that that poor kid Data was a sad stereotype of character (even if slightly amusing) Also, the bats had very visible string attached to them. Anyway, getting back to the Josh-Brolin-teenager-attraction thing - I would argue that Candace is attracted to a 40 year old Josh Brolin and simply commenting on the fact that he has been attractive since the age of 17. It's more of a retrospective view of sorts. Just seeing a 17 year old Josh Brolin without seeing the hot 40 year old version might not prompt the same reaction. She's not creepy ok?! Nick Jonas is just a freak of nature. A 16 year old boy should not have perfect hair and cut lines - it's just not right! Call me in 2 years, Nick.

On a more serious note, we're sad to report that Barack Obama's grandmother, Madelyn Dunham, passed away today. We know that she was a very important part of his upbringing and this must be a very difficult time for the Obama family. We watched him give his an address at a North Carolina rally and he was obviously grief stricken. He wiped away (what we thought were) a few tears and we couldn't help but feel overwhelmed. It's like seeing your dad cry for the first time. We both look up to him so much and it's very difficult to see him go through this - especially now. "Obama Daily" posted some pictures which depicted what we had suspected when watching his address. He was, indeed, crying and as sad as that makes us it also makes us want this victory even more. We wish them all the strength to get through this difficult time and hope for much happier news tomorrow. Apparently, Mrs. Dunham voted absentee - we're glad she got the chance to vote for her grandson and hopefully the next President of the United States.

In lieu of gifts they have asked that well wishers "donate to any worthy organization in search of a cure for Cancer." Most cancer research foundations give you the option of donating in someone's name so you can honor a loved one with your donation. Candace's suggestion is to give to the Danny Federici Melanoma Fund but there are so many worthy organizations out there; you can really do your research and find the one that's right for you. If you'd like, you can send your condolences by signing Mrs. Dunham's guest book here
Note: For anyone wondering, the picture previously posted of Obama at the rally yesterday was taken down - not by request but out of respect. You can still view it at "Obama Daily" but I didn't think it had a place here. We were very moved by his display of emotion but do not want to exploit that in any way. We're just not that kind of blog.

Oh, Yes They Did! 10/29/08

Thanks to everyone who listened in tonight! Lots of great messages from you guys - we love that! Here is the playlist from tonight in case you missed it:

1. Maria - Blondie
2. Fat Bottomed Girls - Queen
3. Surrender - Cheap Trick
4. I'm Into Something Good - Herman's Hermits
5. Starman - David Bowie
6. Don't Bring Me Down - ELO
7. See You At the Lights - 1990s
8. Children of the Revolution - T. Rex
9. Time - The Rumble Strips

We'd love to know what you think of our music selections. What you love/hate, what you want to hear more/less of. E-mail us at OhYesWECB@gmail.com and let us know!

Well tonight was, as always, fun filled and full of sass (precisely 50% less sass because our lady Valeria couldn't make it to the show and Candace was flying solo for the evening.) The first topic of discussion was a story put out by Page 6 of the New York Post claiming that Michael Phelps was paid a hefty 100,000 buckaroos to swim laps at some cougar's pool party. Now when I imagine this I think of a woman with really big hair, leathery, tanning bed skin and a botoxed face - but that's just me. Anyway considering the price tag, Candace thought that while, yes, this was a pretty ridiculous sum of money to pay Michael Phelps to do what he does anyway, it was a pretty sweet deal on the part of Michael Phelps because he's getting paid to do what he does anyway! If someone offered me $100,000 to drink Diet Coke and fall asleep in moving vehicles I'd sure as hell take it. Others were more critical. Michael K of D listed said "If you're going to pay that bitch 100 grand to do a few strokes he'd better do it naked and on top of you." Can't really argue with that...Whether or not this whole pool party story ts true, we can't be too sure. It was, after all, published in the New York Post and for those of you who don't know this is a "newspaper" written at a third grade reading level and chock full of spelling errors. If it is true, props to that lady because I don't know anyone who wouldn't want to have Michael Phelps as their poolboy.

Can you believe it's Halloween already? Wasn't it just August? Well around here on OTYD we like to keep the Olympic spirit alive. Apparently one of our listeners is dressing up like our man Reezy for Halloween! Sounds like a lot of fun. Just don't get drunk and do the backstroke on the dance floor. I'll bet Michael Phelps will be a popular Halloween costume this year because a) he's one of the most famous people in the universe right now and b) the costume would cost just about nothing because you'd be practically naked. We're in a recession, people! Make those costumes at home! For any of us who watch The Office we know how easy it is to make Olympic Medals out of yogurt lids so that's a start.
Speaking of finances, supposedly our Olympic peeps are not getting as many endorsement deals as expected because nobody has any dough. I guess that sucks, but Phelps doesn't seem to have a problem. Nobody can get a damn job and he's all over the place. He's got an endorsement deal with everybody. He's kind of like that kid on Halloween that hits up all the good houses first, gets all the good candy and all that's left for the other kids are the bags of pennies. Michael has all the candy and everyone else has pennies! Share the candy, Michael. You don't need all those Snickers. I'm sure Cullen Jones would like a delicious candy treat, too.

Getting back to the Reezy train, Candace did another theatrical reading from Ryan Lochte's blog. This entry was especially amusing because it contains the sentence "i know i know i am a dummy." His words, not mine. It also had plenty of "jeahs." Candace was complimented on her delivery of the phrase and felt compelled to share how it's really done, Reezy style. In this video, Lochte wins the perseverance award from the Golden Goggles. After giving what I'm sure is an unintentionally funny speech, he lets out a "JEAH!" with a passion and fervor rarely seen. Lochte makes his way to the stage at 2:00

Breaking news was revealed on today's show. Candace may have a gigantic crush on Cullen Jones. After some serious discussion about the swimmer on monday's show (and subsequent facebook stalking) her heart has grown fond of the boy from New Jersey - and being from New Jersey just makes him cuter. Not to take anything away from how significant his accomplishments are but he is a cutie pie! He has the most squeezable cheeks I have ever seen and unlike Reezy and Phelps, he has style. That's right! I know it's shocking that someone on the USMOST can dress well but he actually does. As my friend Ted would say, Cullen is splashin - no pun intended.

With the election only 6 days away there was no way a chance to talk about Obama could be passed up. Tonight Obama will broadcast a 30 minute "informercial" of sorts on several major networks including NBC, FOX, Univision and CBS. Now I don't know what the content of this thing will be but if it's anyting like a real infomercial, Candace is down. She revealed on the show that she absolutely loves infomercials - and she wasn't being ironic. She searched for "paid programming" on her channel guide at night. Her favorites include infomercials for knives, the Magic Bullet, The Showtime Rotisserie and all those music compilations. Maybe Obama will do a little "set it and forget it" action.

On the subject of Obama, one of the links in our blog is to the community "Obama Daily." This community uploads new photos of Obama... daily (get it?) Anyway, while surfing around this afternoon Candace discovered "Obama on the Road!" a collection of photos resembling Travelocity's "Roaming Gnome" in which an Obama action figure travels across California and takes pictures at interesting locations. The pictures are cute and sometimes, oddly touching. Check out the collection here.

Breaking News: Candace has a crush on TI and now he's going to jail. Why didn't anyone tell her about this? Also, why didn't anyone tell her that he has 6 children? That's a lot of kids! Now normally, I have pretty good judgment when it comes to men and I would say hey, that dude with 6 kids whose going to jail for possession of firearms... probably not for me. But TI is just so charming in interviews! In his interview with Tyra Banks he revealed that he has two 7 year old children that are NOT twins. "How is this possible?" you might ask. Well according to TI one child was born in March and one was born in June. Tyra responded by calling him a "playa playa" he quickly corrected her by saying he was simply "single single." Oh TI... I'll be your baby Mama.

Finally I'd like to address a serious problem. On ONTD_O someone posted this picture of MP that garnered some reactions that I was not pleased with. Ladies, PLEASE get a hold of yourselves! I know it's Michael Phelps but are you so blinded by your love that you cannot see how laughable this picture is?! I saw various comments claiming how "sexy" this picture was and how they were "drooling" over it. Um... are we looking at the same picture?! This straight up cheesy. It looks like a reject from a romance novel cover shoot. He has his pants unzipped, a crisp white button down (with cuffs so over sized it looks like he borrowed the shirt from his father) and a fan blasting it open and away from his chest. This may be the most un-sexy thing I have ever seen in my natural born life. This is the definition of "trying too hard." And why is he smiling at me? WHY?! Is he pleased with himself? Because he shouldn't be. I am horrified and embarrassed for him. I don't want to see any more pictures like this. You're better than this, Michael Fred!

Also, Candace announced that the ladies of OYTD are planning on attending Gold Medal Mel's birthday party and are super psyched about it! They're also planning on pulling a mission impossible and sneaking into the Golden Goggles - but this is far less likely to happen because a) Candace is afraid of authority and b) well.. doing that just sounds scary.

Shout out to Kevin and Khellie of "It's Your ECB" for having me on as their special guest today. Check out their show Wednesdays from 2-4pm. They have a guest DJ on every week!

UPDATE: Very exciting news! Crystal suggested we set up some sort of voicemail system so you guys could leave us messages. Oh, Yes They Did! 10/27/08

Thanks to everyone who listened in tonight! Shout out to Bonnie who IMed us! Here is the playlist for tonight's show in case you missed it:

1. Read My Mind - The Killers (In honor of Candace's concert/stalking experience)
2. I've Got My Mind Set On You - George Harrison
3. Randy Scouse Git - The Monkees
4. A Well Respected Man - The Kinks
5. Hounds of Love - The Futureheads

Ah, another lovely evening over at WECB. Candace told a personal anecdote of her concert experience from this past weekend (a rare treat on OYTD) She went to NYC this weekend to see her favorite band The Killers with some of her pals. They waited in line for over 7 hours just to see the boys - this is what we call dedication, people! But their wait did not go unrewarded as they did get to meet the band after the show. They waited outside a stage door of sorts and took pictures with 3 of the 4 band members as they left the venue. Candace gave Ronnie (the drummer and her favorite band member) a special t shirt as a gift to which he responses with "I'm gonna fuckin' where this. And when you see me wear it you're gonna be be like 'I fuckin' made that!'" Now... she didn't make the shirt but we think Ronnie might have had a few drinks before exiting the venue. Time will only tell if he does but it was awesome to say the least.

What would an episode of OYTD be without some talk of the USMOST? This time we got a little serious. We wondered why Cullen Jones hasn't gotten the props he so rightfully deserves. He is, of course, the second African American man to win a gold medal in swimming (and just the 3rd African American to make the US Olympic swim team!) I mean, we all know that Michael Phelps throws a big shadow but come on, that's an important accomplishment and people need to be talking to about it. It seems like Mr. Jones got screwed out some serious attention. Maybe he would have gotten some more press coverage if he had won an individual gold... or if he wasn't the slowest leg of that relay, or if they hadn't almost lost before Lezak killed at the end "keeping Michael Phelps' dream of 8 golds alive" but come on people! Cullen Jones will be in the history books! Sure Michael Phelps will be too, but there's a different kind of significance that Cullen Jones has and we just think that people need to pay more attention to that. I mean look at that swim team... one of these things is not like the others and it's Cullen Jones. He's bringing diversity to a sport that has little to none. Apparently, less than 2% of all registered swimmers in the US are minorities! We have to give it up to Cullen for doing his part to bring diversity to swimming. He established "The Cullen Jones Diversity Tour" this year and according to the website the program works to teach kids about "learning to swim, drowning prevention, swim team access, swimming as an alternate choice for athletic activities and excellence, health benefits of swimming, social environments that will foster friendships for a lifetime in swimming, increase self esteem and many other topics." Considering minorities are 4 times more likely to drown, we think this is pretty important. Hopefully now that Nike is out swimming he'll land a deal with Speedo. They could both definitely benefit from that partnership and we think we all need to see a little more of Cullen around here. Luckily, Johnson & Johnson recognized Cullen's marketability and used him in an adorable commercial. Some other Olympians were used too but... we don't really care about them. Check out Cullen's commercial as a part of their "Thanks, Mom" campaign.

Big news y'all! For those of you who are loyal to Ryan Lochte and are in the Facebook group Jeahmaica you may be pleased to know that that "His Majesty the King" Ryan Lochte may actually be Ryan Lochte. Just the other day we found out that Cullen Jones became friends with His Majesty the King proving (maybe) that this particular Ryan Lochte is not an impostor! That's right y'all, Ryan Lochte is actually in Jeahmaica reigning over all of you. All hail his Majesty!
Speaking of Ryan Lochte, we did yet another theatrical reading of his blog. This particular entry is one of my personal favorites because it mentions Mr. Jones and uses the phrase "BALLIN!" when speaking of his wardrobe. FYI while reading his blogs I stumbled upon an old entry in which he spells the word "weekend," w-e-e-k-a-n-d. Think about that for a second. I'm sure Ryan was a very special child considering in his famous story about "falling into swimming" he seems very proud of the fact that when slipping on ice, he didn't cry but laughed and splashed around in the water. Now I'm all for babies having a good temperament but it takes a very very special child to laugh when they're about to fall into an icy death.

Being that the election is so very close, we couldn't miss the opportunity to talk about our man Barack Obama. Valeria and Candace revealed that they like to have facebook wars in which they post videos of Barack Obama on eachother's walls. Not really a war per se but Barack always wins for being the most awesome/attractive/inspirational. In a recent video Valeria posted, Barack tells us about the last time he cried and it is nothing short of amazing.

First throwin' down for Michelle and now crying for bb Malia? I love you Barack!

We also talked about our man Michael Phelps who happens to be in a new commercial for Guitar Hero. Now lord knows the sight of Phelps in a dress shirt, pantless and smiling is enough to cause our ovaries to explode but has anyone noticed that a lot of these swimmers seem to be extremely awkward on dry land? I mean I know they spend a lot of time in the pool but good God! Supposedly Reezy tried to impress some girls by showing them his backstroke on the dancefloor. Really? On the dancefloor? I don't even understand how that would come up in conversation. Well I suppose if showing someone your Escalade could result in getting a BJ maybe he thought showing off his backstroke would get him a little somethin' somethin' but whose to say.

One of our girls IMed us and asked what we thought about Reezy's chest - did he or did he not wax it? Valeria seemed pretty sure that he did seeing as how he never as the stubble that would result from shaving. Candace remained unsure -is he just naturally hairless? She wasn't sure. We don't mind a little body hair here and there. For instance, when Phelpsicle isn't in serious racing mode he has a bit of hair and nobody's complaining cause boy is still lookin' fine. Plus he doesn't have much so he keeps it under wraps. Just enough for to be sexy not enough to be Sasquatch. Speaking of hair, we also talked about how we prefer the hair on their actual scalps. We both agreed that Reezy with short hair is magically delicious while Reezy with curly hair needs to be tamed a little. His $500 haircut was tasty but when left to his own devices it can get out of control (we have photographic evidence.) As for Phelps, Valeria feels that when it comes to Mikey, the less hair the better. Candace was torn - there's so many looks to choose from! Right now, his little one-inch tuft of hair he's rockin' is very endearing, especially when parted to the side. But for some strange reason she seems to enjoy when he has a Beatle-esque mop top. Can't really explain why; the heart wants what it wants.

In other news, Gold Medal Mel announced that GoldMedalMel.com would be launching soon. We're psyched!

P to the S we are trying to sneak into the Golden Goggles. And by sneak, I mean get press passes.

Oh, Yes They Did! 10/22/08

Thanks for everyone who listened in tonight. Here are the songs from this evening's playlist:

1. And She Was - Talking Heads
2. A-Punk - Vampire Weekend
3. What You Wanted (Sorry) - The Red Romance
4. Sweet Talkin' Woman - ELO
5. Everybody's Got Something to Hide Except for Me and My Monkey - The Beatles

Well tonight was a special edition of OTYD. Valeria couldn't make it, but we had a very special guest! Sarah McTeague, Candace's former radio partner and Phelps lover co-hosted the show. Sarah, at first, was very modest about her love for Michael Phelps - saying she liked his eyes, his dog, Herman, and the fact that he was... well Michael Phelps. But as Candace probed a bit more Sarah revealed what we had always suspected: she does, in fact, have a pulse and loves that swimmer body of his. Of course, we have to blame NBC for this. Not only did they produce multiple profiles of Phelpsicle - talking about his daily life, training schedule and eating habits - they profiled his body. Now you have to wonder what they were thinking when they decided to emphasize the fact that the man has "dinner plate" sized hands and gigantic feet. What are the ladies supposed to think when we hear something like that?! I have a feeling they didn't have any women in the editing booth when they were cutting this. Or maybe they only had women... who knows.

The ladies also discussed the new LZR Racer that the swimmers wore in beijing. Sure it's the fastest suit in the world, whatever % less drag and all that but what we were interested in is the fast that it flattens those boys out like crazy! I mean they are straight up looking like Ken dolls in those things. We worry about the potential for reproduction in the future. When the LZR was unveiled at Speedo's big fancy event, Golden boy Michael Phelps took center stage and stood with his arms and lets spread out Vitruvian Man style (even though we all know he's not by any means perfectly proportioned.) Now maybe it was the lights, maybe it was the fact that this suit is insanely thin and even tighter but there was a clear outline of certain.... areas. Perhaps some people were happy to see what the normal Speedo (barely) hides but I'd like to leave something to the imagination. Funnily enough, some genius out there in this world uploaded this picture to photobucket and did a little Perez Hilton style editing. Using their fantastic MS Paint skills they circled his junk, drew an arrow pointing to it and wrote "YEAH!" in big letters. If this wasn't funny enough, it was taken down by photobucket due to violation of service terms. Awesome.

It's no secret that Ryan is a master of the English language, as evidence by his blog on SwimRoom.com. He's even creating words of his own. As an homage to his literary skills, we premiered a segment on tonight's show called "An English Lesson from Ryan Lochte." The word of the day was "Rig"

Rig noun
rig·ging, rig mode
noun:
  1. chiefly athletic
  • to hurt
  • to die (in practice)
  • to have a bad practice
Practices and dry land are killing me. We can say Ryan was in rig mode.

For those of you who have tuned into the show before you will know that we like to air theatrical readings of Lochte's blog because the content of his writings are sheer genius - so much so that we read them to theme tune of Masterpiece theater. This English lesson comes courtesy of this blog entry.

Now, knowing that Sarah is such a big Phelps Phan, Candace wondered how she might feel about trying a little Lochte Love. During the break Sarah was shown a few pictures of the Daytona wonder. Sarah concluded that Lochte, in all his glory, reminded her of the Greek God Adonis - a pretty good observation I would say. We concluded that he may look like Adonis but still talks like Spicoli - not sure where that leaves him. Like we said, sometimes the boys are beautiful but there's just not much going on upstairs. Light's off in the attic, y'all!

What do you guys think?

Sarah is a very fashionable lady so I had to ask what she thought of Phelp's fashion sense. His recent unveiling of a velour hoodie, paired with white track pants accent by his favorite flip flops was definitely not his greatest fashion moment. I do realize that having the torso of a man as tall as Shaq might pose some problems when shopping for clothes but there is NEVER an excuse to wear velour. EVER. Luckily, on today's TRL appearance phelps decided not only to wear shoes but to wear clothes that fully covered his lengthy frame and they were actually nice! Imagine our surprise when we saw him in jeans, a button down and a very stylish gray sweater. Lookin' good Michael Fred! Even though the shirt looks like it's made for what Sarah calls a "normal sized man," it looks like it's doing the trick. Seeing Phelpsicle look so cute on today's show made Candace feel guilty, y'all! She started out the Olympics as a Phelps girl; willing to sacrifice her body (and uterus) to give him all the swimmer babies he could ever want. But slowly after the games ended her heart was captured by none other than skittle-loving, slow talking Ryan Lochte. Sigh.. I guess this is what Phlochte is for.

Given the fact that TRL is a complete crap show, they put him through what they call "the Wringer" where they ask "tough" questions. And by tough I mean completely idiotic. MP was a good sport and extremely gracious during his time on the show so everyone out there so says he's a D-bag needs to back off! Live it up, Michael Fred!

Did y'all know that Candace went to TRL once? She sure did. Candace revealed that her friend knows someone who works at TRL and they both got to attend a taping when the Jonas Brothers were guest hosts. Now, you are all aware that Candace is a borderline pedophile because she loves Nick Jonas but what started out as an exciting OMGTHEJONASBROTHERS moment turned out to be a pretty bad experience. Once it became clear that she was just about the person in attendance over the age of 16 and the only one not wearing a tank top, flip flops with her skin spray tanned orange - the mood dropped. Plus TRL is mad boring to tape. But the Jonas Brothers are very cute in person!

By the way, our boy Michael Fred was voted 3rd most influential male according to AskMen.com. First our blog, now Askmen.com. Seems like Michael Fred is getting pretty comfortable with 3rd place.

P to the S, the infamous escalade makes a cameo in this video at 4:41 (right after Lochte rocks his tiny red Speedo at 4:17)

We need ideas for the next poll, guys! Let us know what we should do.

Oh, Yes They Did! 10/20/08

What a night! Thanks to everyone who listened in tonight to "Oh, Yes They Did!" Here are the songs from tonight's playlist:

1. Most Likely You'll Go Your Way and I'll Go Mine - Bob Dylan (Mark Ronson Remix)
2. Ballroom Blitz - Sweet
3. Womanizer - Britney Spears (by request)
4. Pumpkin Soup - Kate Nash

So it was another fun filled night for the ladies of "Oh, Yes They Did!" At the top of the show we were extremely excited to announce that none other than side-breathing Gold medalist Melvin Stewart tuned into our show last week and read our blog. That's right kids, Gold Medal Mel listened to our show! Not only that - we got a wall post in our Facebook group! Needless to say the ladies of OYTD freaked out for a considerable amount of time because, come on, who doesn't love GMM?!

As the show progressed we, of course, talked about our boy Reezy and our lovely friends over at ONTD_Olympics. One of the ladies over at the LJ community was lucky enough to meet our favorite skittle-loving swimmer over the weekend and let me tell you, boy was looking FINE in that parking lot photoshoot. And needless to say, he acted exactly how we suspected (can you say fist-pump?) In related LJ news Candace got a little something off her chest and reminded all the Debbie Downers out there that they need to just stop drinking the haterade and let her comment in peace!

We also did a very special theatrical reading of Ryan Lochte's blog accompanied by the theme music of Masterpiece Theater - because if Reezy is considered anything, it's a literary genius.

In addition we discussed the fact that, thanks to the video below, we discovered that certain... behaviors must run in the Lochte family. In the video, parents of Speedo sponsored athletes are asked to describe their kids and based on those descriptions, we (the viewers) are supposed to guess who they are. Most of the parents give us basic descriptions: how many Olympics they've been to, what strokes they swim. Sure, Papa Lochte does all that but he goes above and beyond when describing his boy - he very excitedly reveals to us that Ryan LOVES candy. And Mountain Dew. Why am I not surprised....? BTW Papa Lochte comes on at around 1:30

We also talked about Golden Boy Michael Phelps. Now we love Michael Fred as much as the next... Michael Fred lover but we have a bone to pick with him. He has been slutting it up with all the other swimmers and his pageant "girlfriend." I think it's pretty clear to all of us with eyes that Ryan completes his OTP so he really needs to get it together or else Ryan is going to find someone else to share his Skittle with. Someone else whose name starts with lil and ends with Wayne.

On the topic of Phelps' pageant girlfriend - apparently when they attended the Bowlmor party in NYC she was very upset by the fact that people were taking pictures of her. The ladies of OYTD were unamused by miss Nicole's reaction. First of all, nobody is taking pictures of you so relax. Second of all, if either one of us were dating MP we would have a professional photographer and lighting crew there to document every makeout session we had with Aquaman to make everyone who was mean to us in High School jealous. It's ok to brag, Nicole. Your boyfriend's face is on boxes of crackers and cereal - live it up.

Now, we all know Reezy and Phelpsicle are great swimmers -yeah yeah great - but one of the reasons we love watching them swim is the fact that they wear tiny Speedos (we love Speedos yes we do. We love Speedos. How bout you?) Candace is quite partial to Reezy's child sized red Speedo that he used to rock back in the day. Valeria likes his multicolored Flipturn Speedo because it accentuates the goods. Now, being the skeptic she is, Candace felt that it accentuated his junk because of its gaudy print. They always tell fat people not to wear bold prints because it makes them look fatter so... prints on your..ahem... personal areas...could have the same effect don't you think? Phelpsicle apparently wants to reproduce someday because his aren't near as tight as Reezy's but with those thighs... we're not complaining.

In general, we think the boys need some fashion tips. With bodies like that there is no reason on god's green earth why they should be hiding their hotness under baggy clothes and ugly hoodies that should die in a fire (ya'll know which one I'm talking about!) We enjoy the tailored look on our lovely swimmer boys - clothes that hug them in all the right areas. Ryan, as Valeria so lovingly refers, is a barrel chest. And though that sounds like a negative comment - it's not. It simply means he's got a muscular delicious chest that should not be hidden away from our loving gazes! We're big fans of the suit he wore when he hung out with Jay Z. BALLIN!

Embarrassingly enough, Candace and Valeria admitted that they enjoyed the Jonas Brothers' new music video for their song Lovebug. It reminds us of when people actually cared about how their music videos looked and spent a legitimate amount of time making them. Plus.. that 16 year old is mighty cute. Whatever! It's not illegal if you don't touch! The song is very summery and sweet (not that we're into the Jonas brothers or anything....) Check out the video below:

Thanks to our poll, Michael Phelps finally tasted the bitterness of defeat. For the first time in the life he didn't come in first place. Second? Nope. He came in 3rd place. That's right 3rd place. Reezy reigned supreme as your favorite Olympic swimmer (shocking!!!) and Phlochte came in second. That's right, Michael! How does it feel? How does it feel to win 8 gold medals, prove yourself as the best athlete in the world, have millions of adoring fans all over the globe and then lose in a poll voted on by a whopping 52 people on a blog run by 2 college students? STINGS DON'T IT?! We'll see how long those endorsement deals last now, Mikey! Eat all the Frosted Flakes you can now cause Tony the Tiger doesn't think you're so Grrrreat anymore!

In other news, lil Wayne is having a baby.
DON'T TELL RYAN!!!!!
Obviously lil Wayne has not been affected by the current Economic situation

The Art of the Speedo

Something very sad has been brought to my attention. Speedos all across the world are being abused!

I was watching that godawful show "Life on Mars" last night - why I did this, I really can't explain - this is the show about the cop who gets hit by a car and lands up in 1973 and can't figure out how to get back to 2008. Now if movie memory serves, I would think all he needs to do is get hit by a car AGAIN but anyway... I digress.

So I'm watching this horrendous TV show and all of the sudden I see a man running through the park trying to evade the cops - wearing a speedo. HOLD. THE. PHONE. My brain could not properly process this... I'm watching network television... I see a Speedo... where is my beloved USMOST?

The main problem I had with this is that after the Olympics my brain had mad the connection of "Speedo = beautiful man inside said Speedo." Thanks to Michael Phelps, Ryan Lochte and the other cuties of the USMOST I had forgotten that uglies frequently try their hand at Speedo-wearing. This man was NOT beautiful, nor was he in any shape to be wearing the spandex wonder.

Why must people do this?! The Speedo already has a bad reputation thanks to the fat, hairy old men who insist on wearing them - a stereotype the Olympic Swim team's abs have worked tirelessly to break. So again I ask WHY must the Speedo be abused by those who simply should not be wearing them?! I almost ripped my own eyes out when I realized Harvey Keitel was wearing a pair. That's right. HARVEY KEITEL. Oh hi, Harvey. Are you competing today? Is that why you're wearing them? Oh you're not? You're just trying to frighten the life out of me? Thought so.

I worry just a tad about how popular these things could possibly be. We all know that Ryan Lochte and Michael Phelps do ads for Speedo (aside from being walking well.. swimming billboards.) Actually, they do a lot. And some of the ladies like Natalie Coughlin and Katie Hoff do too. I hope the whole "if I get these I'll look like them!" idea behind advertising doesn't work because in this case... you won't! And if you're thinking "Hey! I'm just like Michael Phelps. I eat 10,000 calories a day" you need to pump the breaks and completely rethink this decision. Sure you'll be wearing the same swimsuit as them but, hate to break it to you, paying 30 bucks for it does not equal 4,000 laps or 5 hours of swimming time a day. They look the way they do for a reason and it's not the Speedo! Sure they look damn good in a pair but that's because they work out like animals so they can wear something that's skin tight and hella low - seriously ya'll I thought NBC was gonna have to blur out the goods or cut to commercial cause I was almost certain MP's junk was gonna make it to air any second during the Olympics. But anyway, these guys don't have to worry about lovehandles like the rest of us. The things are tight, bb and you're beer belly just ain't cuttin' it. Just because you have the means to buy a speedo, doesn't mean you should. I highly doubt that on your Long Island vacation you'll be doing any hardcore racing, so leave the Speedos at home. Hey, I'm sure Michael and Reezy don't wear those things to beach (although if I were ever lucky enough to be on the same beach as them I pray they would.) Leave it to the pros, kids!

In closing, I would just like to remind the men of this world that the wearing of the Speedo is a delicate art form and these men are artists! Once you've seen a Da Vinci, you simply cannot settle for a paint-by-number version of the Mona Lisa, ok?
Is there a reason why they're all greased up? Not that I mind. Also is there a reason why Reezy's speedos always look like he borrowed them from a little boy? Seriously they always look mad small on him! Again, NOT complaining because that's pretty much the greatest thing I've ever seen. I'm going to blaim it on his ghetto booty. That's a lot of ass to fit in a small suit.

On a lighter and lovelier note, right now Speedo has a really cute campaign going on called "Stop the Clock" that features none other than golden boy Michael Phelps (as well as some other swimmers like Stephanie Rice and Katie Hoff.) I guess the idea of it is "Hey! Our athletes aren't swimming machines! They have fun too!" and what do they do to have fun? Swim some more. But this time they're on a beach so I suppose that implies leisure. Yeah that makes sense. Personally, if I were stuck in a pool for hours and hours on end the last thing I would want to do on my vacation is swim. You would not find me anywhere near a pool. No hot tub, no beach. Water would be reserved for showers only - and I'm sure just the sound of the water coming down would freak me out. You'd find me in the hotel bar. I would just get absolutely wasted - no water products anywhere near me, just alcohol! Alcohol and candy. But again, I digress.

Unfortunately there's so sign of Reezy in the campaign but the pictures of Phelpsicle are so precious that you might not even care. Check out some pictures and video at speedo80.com. And thank the lord they are selling swim trunks. Your stomach still may never look anything like Phelps' but those trunks he's rockin' are much more forgiving on normal folks.

Look What I Made!

These two never cease to inspire me:
Since Phlochte seems to be a popular topic as of late, I thought it seemed appropriate. I'm also a big fan of macros and shameless self promotion. What do you guys think?

If any of you make/find any great Phelps or Reezy macros please post them in the comment section because I absolutely love them.

I think my love of Macros really started with the discovery of lolcats. I can't explain why I love them so much (I really don't like cats at all) but something about those darn lolcats is so ridiculous that it could make even the most cold, cavernous ice-box-where-your-heart-should-be bastard bowl over with laughter. I have to say, though, that some people REALLY drop the ball with lolcats. Some people just aren't funny and not all cats are lolcat worthy! Just because you have a cat and access to a computer doesn't mean you can or should make a lolcat - just saying.

I'm also quite partial to the Obama macros that have been popping up lately. There's a great one of him watching Hillary clinton on TV, and the one below is one that Valeria and I reference all the time.

Bottom line - if the picture is good (some pictures are begging to be made into macros) and you're actually clever, macro it up! On the other hand, If you think you're clever but nobody ever seems to get your jokes.. maybe macros aren't for you. Or if you only make lolcats because you just happen to own 40 cats... maybe rethink it. I'm sure your 40 cats think you're funny but the rest of us really don't.

You can try your hand at macros on roflbot where you can upload a picture and add text or, if you're a pro, let the site pick a random picture for you and come up with something clever on the spot.

Kind of off but still on topic, I think my mom has a crush on Ryan Lochte. Yup, I said it.

Let's go shopping!

Do I love a sale? Almost as much as I love men in speedos. Almost. So as you may know I am currently obsessed with these vintage style Oympic t shirts by Altru Apparel. "How did you find them, Candace?" you might ask. Well, I was on a little vacation with my sister the weekend after the Olympics had ended, in Asbury Park, NJ. We were walking around the boardwalk and stopped into the this little clothing shop called Style Rocket. This is where I saw the shirts and I HAD to have them. Luckily (or sadly) since the Olympics were over they were on sale.

I discovered last night that they're finally on sale on the Style Rocket website! I literally checked this website every night - I want to snatch as many of these bad boys for myself as I can.

Seriously guys these shirts are awesome. They come in all different designs - each design features a different "Olympiad" and hosting city. I suggest you do a little research before buying certain styles because there are shirts that feature years that were somewhat controversial like 1968 in Mexico and the 1972 Olympics in Munich (which ironically was where Mark Spitz won 7 golds). But other than that these shirts are awesome and they've dropped from the pricey $37 price tag to $26 (not bad and shipping is free!). They're super comfortable and they just look bad ass (as evidence by the picture of Valeria and myself 2 entries down). The shirts come in both men and women's sizes but the sizes are limited since they're on sale. Check them out at http://www.stylerocket.com/

If you have the extra money, Altru Apparel's website has more styles in more colors. At this site they're $34 as opposed to the non-sale $37 Style Rocket had them up for, but they've got styles that feature more locations and some more colors too. Check out their website

I can't make any promises but...y'all know Reezy appreciates some high fashion...
That suit is pretty swaggerific. And you know he has more where that came from. White on black with a splash of red? Mad style.

Apture
